Dash For Diversity in Niagara Falls, NY
Just one week later, Terri made the trek to Niagara Falls to participate in the Dash for Diversity. The event was put on by the National Federation of Just Communities (NFJC) of Western New York, Inc. Through education and advocacy, the organization hopes to overcome racism and discrimination, building up the entire community as a result. The Dash for Diversity raised money to support the programs put on by the organization for local youths, with all donations staying local. Despite a red-eye flight and missing the most important meal of the day, Terri finished the race strong. Next year, she'll be sure to pack a granola bar and bring a medal home to Oregon City.
